Write to Opportunities

It would really help if I was able to write to the Opportunity as well as the Contact page. There are a number of fields that are unique to out Opportunitiy pages that I am unable to include in my Marketo work flow.

This is a very interesting question...What are you trying to do programatically in Marketo update stage?

Its tricky, as you can have multiple Opportunities on one lead. Somewhat hard to say which one to write to.

In this specific instance we send a survey out when an opportunity closes. I would like the date the survey was sent and filled out to reside on the opportunity rather than the contact as they can have multiple surveys. Since the trigger is the opportunity rather than the contact Marketo should be able to identify the proper opportunity to write to.

I can envision other use cases but this is the one I'm working on at the moment.

Jessica, we had a similar problem and developed a workaround:

1. Roll up the survey date to Account. Salesforce let's you use max or min value so you'll have to choose one.
2. Copy the Account value to Opportunity using formula field
