Universal Form CSS

Universal Form CSS

It would be really useful and cool to have the ability to do apply a universal CSS settings to forms in a design studio folder, much like you can do with tokens in the marketing activities folder.

Example - Companies have brands -- we all have a set font set, colors, etc. that remain the same no matter what. So it would be useful to have all corporate forms in a folder and have the settings for fonts and say button color etc. set at the folder level so that if they change you only have to change it one place or when you create a new form you don't have to think about it.

It would be even better if you could also add an external CSS-file. Most organizations allready have that on their website. The win here is that if the website design changes, all forms change with it.

Actually you can style forms via CSS called in the head of your landing pages, an external CSS file, or within your LP templates themselves. They may not look properly within the form previewer, but they'll look correct on the pages you place them on.

Also- when Marketo recently added the mobile support for landing pages, they also updated how their templates interrpet external CSS and JS. Previously you had to call that stuff directly in the template for it to show up in preview mode or in the editor itself. But now it appears that even if you're using an external CSS file on your template (haven't tried it with JS, but presume the same is true) the editor and preview will pull that stuff in automatically.

Yes you can add css to the landing pages to control the forms. But when working with multiple designers, using different templates (not all with the same CSS or even external CSS) and landing pages both on and off the Marketo landing pages it would be much easier to be able to control all the forms at the folder level instead of relying on the designers to always add form css to their templates or landing pages. It also limits the number of posible errors in code. One code, One place, One change.
