Twitter Lead Generation Cards

Twitter Lead Generation Cards

Twitter announced today new Lead Generation Cards.  Any plans for Marketo to integrate with Twitter?

That sounds like the same error I had.
Here is relevant update line from Raj that fixed it (which he updated in the instructions)
...your pod’s domain name.  Make sure you use https:// prefix instead of http://, because
Twitter only POSTS to secure URLs.  In this example, the form submit URL will be
https://app-sj05.marketo.com/index.php/leadCapture/save

I believe there was an update and now POST works into the CNAME link. I tried the alternative, my pod's name or CNAME and it doesn't work. Sounds like I need to turn on secure post functionality.

Has anyone been able to get it working without enabling secure landing pages?

Hi Ksenia - currently, twitter requires SSL; however, they ensured us that a spreadsheet download option will be made available in July as well non-secure lead delivery is also on the roadmap.

Is anyone else having trouble with passing the Full Name fields from Twitter to Marketo?  The instructions suggest using FullName_c under custom key name.  Does this match up to the Full Name API name in Marketo?  Is there a way to split it into First Name and Last Name?

You can get the full list of fields (and their API names) by navigating to Admin->Field Management and clicking the "Export Field Names" button.  FullName_c appears to be the full name in SFDC and will be available to any Marketo subscription which has SFDC sync enabled.  If you don't have SFDC sync, I'd recommend that you create a custom field for the Full Name (by following instructions at https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000KypGCAS) and using this for the Twitter LeadGen integration
