Referring URL Needed for Campaign Metrics Tracking

Referring URL Needed for Campaign Metrics Tracking

Create a Referring URL field for every interaction that we could pull into the default view. It would have to be a field which supported multiple values but only rendered the most recent in the default view.

The only URL field available to us right now is Original URL and that's not effective for tracking.

USE CASE:
We use URL parameters (?sfdcid=) for tracking campaigns through to our Marketo landing pages. We have a field that sets SFDCCampaignID but it is overwritten each time (by design). We do not pass all leads through to SFDC and hold any with a score of less than 75 in Marketo.

This means that when we execute campaigns (for example, a banner ad campaign on Site A using one SFDCID, and a banner ad campaign on Site B using a different SFDCID--both pointing to the same landing page) that we have to rely on "referring URL" to determine which Site drove more traffic. We could look at each Smart Campaign (we have one per SFDCID) but that means we have to visit each one individually which isn't realistic. We have been using the Program Members tabs to see all results in one place but it would be great if you created a Referring URL field for every interaction that we could pull into the default view. It would have to be a field which supported multiple values but only rendered the most recent in the default view.

The only URL field available to us right now is Original URL and that's not effective for tracking.

Agreed.  Server variables are already available so it just needs to be exposed within Marketo.
