Pause from Flow and Resume Flow

Pause from Flow and Resume Flow

Similiar to "remove from flow", there should be a flow step that says "pause from flow" which temporarily suspends a lead from the campaign, then waits for a particular action to trigger "resume flow" from the point at which the "pause fom flow" occurred.

This would be useful for many things, but one example might be when a lead is prematurely removed from a nurture campaign, and you want to put that lead back in the nurture campaign but not start them from the beginning.

I can think of a couple work arounds for this, but they would be ridiculously time consuming and complex. If there is another way to do this I don't know it.

to add to this, it would also be cool to have a "skip flow steps" option, so when a lead re-enters a campaign you could say "if member of list = XYZ, skip flow steps 1-6"

There are a couple of workarounds for this.

To prevent someone from having to start a nurture campaign from the beginning, the master campaign's Send Email flow should have a series of choices that check to see if they have already been sent the email and if so, skip that choice and go to the next one.

To pause someone, you can add them to a static list and when the trigger event occurs remove them from the static list and move them back to whichever smart campaign is appropriate.  The nurturing program uses this technique with its Exhausted Content static list.  If you add more content choices to the master campaign's Send Email flow, you can add the leads in the Exhausted Content list back to the master campaign.  Unfortunately, you'd have to do this manually using a Request Campaign flow action because there isn't a trigger for "Smart Campaign was Changed", but that would be a good one to have.

In the new Engagement engine we have a feature that allows you to "pause" a lead while they are in a stream.  This means they remain in the stream, but they do not receive content.  Once they are changed back to "normal" they can begin to receive content.  There is a flow action available in the engagement program called "Change Engagement Program Cadence" that allows you to do this.
