Marketo feature to create arbitrary custom redirect URLs

I want to be able to create custom redirects that mask a long URL with meta tags behind a short URL.
e.g.
I want a custom url such as:
pages.marketo.com/oil-webinar-partner

that redirects to
http://pages.platfora.com/webinar-the-data-boom-december-10-2014.html?utm_source=Partner&utm_medium=...

This ensures that, for example, partners and vendors, cannot edit/change our tracking tags, and makes sure the URL is short enough to fit in their system.

Third-party URL shortners aren't acceptable because I don't want to be reliant on another company that may go away, change TOU, or start inserting ads or something else in between the short URL and the full URL.

The Admin->Landing Pages->Rules function does not support this, as confirmed by Marketo customer support.

The equivalent function in Pardot is:

although I can't actually find this option on my own instance I did come across this article while looking for the ability to send multiple URLs to a single page that might be useful.

Yes, yes, yes! That was a feature I had in Pardot that I miss not having in Marketo...that and the live activity dashboard.

YES! We use this feature in Pardot for every webpage hosted on Pardot, our company domain, and subdomains.

Should be an option in the landing page actions -> URL tools-> URL Builder

Once done, the short URL should be available in the landing page summary screen.

Is there a new link to the article referenced above? https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000LNK3CAO

Hi Shari,

No, but it probably links to Redirect a Landing Page - Marketo Docs - Product Docs

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a vanity URL w/o .go in the front? For example, we just want www.companyname.com.

Thanks!

You can use any hostname you want, but you can't *also* use that exact hostname for another purpose*. So www.example.com can point to Marketo, then home.example.com can point to your website.

(Unless your IT staff understands and is equipped to route all of your requests through a reverse proxy -- infrequently, if ever, done.)

That's great...thank you, @Sanford! I great appreciate your feedback.
