Enable captcha for Forms 2.0

I think having the option to add an additional level of security to forms would be great.

Bots are getting smarter and it would be nice to have another level of validation to ensure that we're interacting with humans.

This is something that would be really useful for us as we are currently using custom solutions for this

I suspect this is the case for a lot of our customers, hopefully some others can chime in here.

Hi Louiza,

In fact, I do not see many customers using a third party captcha with Forms 2.0 and they do not get much c*** in their form entries.

So I gather that Marketo is already doing a very good job at filtering bad data

Voted though

That's great to hear Greg! We do have security measures in place, but additional security doesn't hurt!

You can already add Google ReCAPTCHA to a Marketo form.  I posted a how-to a year ago at least.  I would not want Marketo to try to duplicate the industry-standard library for this.

Google ReCAPTCHA is blocked in china. I would love to see marketo add a native solution to use captcha.

Hi Danielle,

The way we integrate reCaptcha is through JS and the recaptcha API. This could be probably done with other captcha solutions, including chinese ones.

You're not considering the engineering cost of developing anything close to Google's solution. No way does Marketo (or any similar entity) have resources to dedicate to this task.

I not suggesting that the reinvent the wheel but it would be nice if they offered a way or even documentation on how to integrate captcha with their forms. And unfortunately in my case reCaptcha isn't going to work for us since we are a global company.

I think what you want (though you may not realize it!) is a server-side forms plugin API into which you could plug other technology.

If Marketo were to automatically integrate anything (and they will in the near future), it would be reCAPTCHA. Hence it wouldn't help your case!
