Dynamic content based on field values

I'd like to be able to change text if there is a field that doesn't have a value. For instance, if the Account Owner field is empty, I'd like to insert the text "we", and if it's not empty, I'd like to insert "I". This would allow more personalized emails while allowing a fallback email to sound as if it's coming from a team within the company.

(Perhaps this can be done with segments, but that seems a bit cumbersome for something that should be fairly simple that could be done within the email.)

I will even add to be able to do dynamic content based on behaviours.

For example show a CTA in your email depending if they opened your last email or if they have visited already the page the CTA points to.

In case I got your issue you can solve it with creating segments: Set up different segments (one Account Owner is empty; one default) and then add dynamic content to your mail. You can do the same with opened a mail (so behavioural)

You could make a custom field, then make a Smart List that populates that custom field with those values.

Set the criteria for when Account Owner field is changed (trigger) or is empty (batch) and have the flow be a Change Data Value.  You can set some conditions from that point as well.  I believe that should work out.
