Sales Alerts are this great idea that in practice annoy sales teams.  I've heard complaints like this one since 2009:

Sometimes realtime alerts aren't the best way: a recent study found some financial algorithms actually benefit by adding delay to their calculations.

Sales teams should have the option to subscribe to a daily digest of their lead's activitiy.  This might look something like the existing feeds in Sales Insight, but be available via email.  This could also run every hour or every few hours, depending on the salesperson's workflow.
