Data loader for Program costs

Data loader for Program costs

I would imagine this has been suggested before as it seems to be a popular idea (based on discussions I have had within the Marketo UK user group).

Have a data loader that eliminates the need to add program costs one-by-one / manually.

In other words, the ability to upload an Excel file of costs directly into a Marketo program to update/replace that program's costs.

Reference was made in the discussions to the SFDC data loader.

Thanks!

In order to get the value from Revenue Cycle Analytics you need to update period costs.  Manually entering costs on a monthly basis is a barrier to usage.  In addition editing costs as they firm up is equally tiresome.  Any way to speed this up via aexport/import dataloader would be of massive benefit to users, and frankly make it easier to sell for Marketo if it's easier to use.

AJ had replied back to me personal, so I thought I would share here:

Edward - I think we mis labeled this and we will change it to "We Like It".  It is a good idea.

What we do have is an integration between costs added in MFM and programs. So if you did have MFM - you could connect line items to specific programs and the costs would flow through.

Thanks

Cheers AJ,
I'm more curious now, does MFM allow me to create additional period costs without having to go in to each program? i.e Program already has one when it was launched, later in MFM I can add several more to that program.

Edward - I think we mis labled this idea annd we will change the status to "We Like it". It is a good idea.

If you have MFM, costs added to line items there could flow down to programs as a period cost.

Yes - If a customer uses MFM, you don't need to add period costs in programs any more as they will flow down from MFM (assuming you connect it to the right program).

Note - it does not go in the other direction. MFM does not get populated with period costs manually added to a program.

You should ask for a demo 🙂

Thanks

Suggesting a demo for an add-on product in response to an idea that helps usage of a different add-on product isn't really showing any understanding.  Smiley-face, or no smiley-face.
