Create Option to Suppress Tracking on Emails in Sender's Outlook "Sent Box"

An option to disable open and click tracking on a sent email / email in the "sent box" of an outlook add-in user would be nice to have.  This would avoid a lot of confusion on the part of the sales team and would help with cleaner reporting.

I have our inside sales team using the Marketo for Outlook Plug-In.  I also have Marketo set up to send them alerts if a lead opens or clicks one of these emails.

One concern they have is that they are triggering "false positives" when opening these emails in their sent folder in Outlook.  Usually in order to use the message to "ping" that lead or contact in a follow up, or to copy content to use in another email.

A big thanks to Elliot Low for suggesting I submit this as an idea.

Great idea, this needs to be done to make the interesting moments useful

Thanks for submitting the Idea David.  To expand on the use case, more often than I would like after sending an email using Send and Track in Outlook, the sender not only opens their copy of the sent email, but they click the decorated links in the sent email, which then causes all of the sender's subsequent online activities on our website to be added to the original recipient's lead record.  If there is no way to strip out the tracking links and invisible GIF, then perhaps there could be an option to not create a copy of the email in the Sent Items folder similar to when you send a Sales Insight email from SFDC and there is no "copy" in you Sent Items folder, just the record in the Sales Insight Email tab.

Definitely need this. Without it, the data is far from accurate.

Definitely needs fixing as Interesting Moments and Lead Scores are borderline worthless until that happens. I haven't even told my sales team this is an issue because it would really undermine their views of Marketo.
