Ability to batch replace files

Ability to batch replace files

Please add an ability to batch replace files in the Design Studio tab's Images and Files folder.

We just finished a redesign of all our collateral and now are faced with the prospect of individually replacing dozens and dozens of files.  I pity the company with hundreds of collateral pieces that need to be replaced :0(

Elliot, as long as the files are all named the same, can't you just multiselect upload them all at once and replace the old files. Then they'll all be updated in one go?

Elliott,
I second Adam's suggestion.  Just use the same names for the new files and batch upload them directly or by connecting to your Box account.

If you host your images using something like WebDAM, or some other design asset management solution (for images, graphics, videos, presentations, pdfs, etc.), you can just use html links for image placement. Later, if and when you update or revise the original assets, all of your related materials will instantly be updated with the new image.  This is a big time saver for companies that have many web properties (landing pages, emails, etc.). They no longer have to manually update multiple web properties one by one.

If you manage your library of marketing files using something like WebDAM, or some other design asset management solution (for images, graphics, videos, presentations, pdfs, etc.), you can simply use embed links for image placement. As a result, when you later update or revise the original asset, all of your related marketing materials will instantly be updated with the newest version. This is a big time saver for many companies, especially for those that have countless web properties (landing pages, emails, etc.). They no longer have to manually update multiple assets one by one.  I don't mean to plug my own company's product, but my marketing team finds it extremely helpful for organizing, searching, viewing, and distributing creative files. It seems to be working well as we deploy Marketo and design/update campaigns.

Thanks Adam and Raj, I had forgotton that when you use the Upload Images and Files function, it has a Overwrite Existing Files option.  Makes me wonder why there is a separate Replace Images and Files function - generally not a good UI design principle to have redundant functions.

Ron, Thanks for you recommendation.  I'll forward your info about WebDAM to our content folks.
