Ability to Recall Email after it is sent

Hi,

It would be good to have an option of Recall Email once it is sent. 
So that if we send an email by mistake we call recall it so that the reciever knows that the mail was sent by mistake.

I voted for this, but I suspect if this were possible it would have been done a long time ago.

Ya, the "recall email" functionality has to work with the particular email client that the user has (I'm looking at you Outlook!) and it isn't a very popular thing to build into many email clients. I can't remember if any other email client besides Outlook (and derivitives) that have this functionality.

I'd just recommened checking emails, and possibly send out an "Ooops, we goofed!" email.

Sometimes the "we goofed" emails can be a positive thing if you spin it right and don't fear the email!

The following requirements must also be considered when creating a solution for this idea:

  1. The recall email should include a generic apology message, informing the recipient that the email was sent by error and to disregard it. 
  2. The message should be available in multiple language, for example, for Canada it should include English and French versions.
  3. The recall email should be compatible with Microsoft Outlook recall protocol, so that outlook users can benefit from it.

Having this functionality built into Marketo, will shorten the time between the mistake and recall message. That will eliminate majority of questions or suspicions saving time and work for all affected people.
