I am having a problem. A client created an email in Marketo and it looks fine but when I import to my Marketo, the HTML gets stripped of all code?

My client has created an emial in Marketo and they want to deploy with us.  He has sent me a sample and I have viewed in a browser, copy the code and then put in our Marketo.  All the style sheets are erased

Any thoughts?

Try copying the code in a different platform before you past it into Marketo. Do you have sublime text editor or notepad?

Make it into an Email Template first. Then push it out.

As a best practice, you shouldn't use external stylesheets (or even head styles for the most part) in emails.

How did he send the sample? I agree with Ben, however, if you just copy code from a standard Outlook view, it might not work. Best if he sends you a separate HTML or TXT file with just the straight code.

Then create an Email on a blank template and use Replace HTML.

You should have inline CSS if the email requires it.
