Responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the company’s automated marketing campaigns.
The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day tactical design, quality assurance (QA), campaign roadmap, maintenance, support, and training (as needed) to support clients and internal team members for our Marketing Automation Platform (Marketo) service offerings. This position will with marketing managers cross-functionally to project manage, create, and execute email campaigns that support client strategic initiatives. The candidate should have a deep knowledge of Marketo’s workspaces and lead partitions functionality (agency model).  The Marketing Automation Specialist must have a strong background in email marketing, email best practices, marketing list segmentation, nurture campaigns, and experience contributing to marketing and cross-channel alignment (Channel, Profit, Enablement).
The position will work with cross-functional roles, clarifying and documenting new requirements and processes to create and/or improve campaign execution. After requirements are gathered, you’ll take the lead in building and validating enhancements to our Marketo instance. You will have opportunity to directly impact performance and improvement of marketing processes and campaign performance as it relates to specific client programs. Responsibilities will include:
  • Translate needs from product owners into functional specifications for email templates, email workflows, lead capture and campaign reporting
  • Build, edit, test and launch email marketing campaigns
  • Manage email lists, data file aggregation and uploads according to campaign requirements
  • Execute and streamline marketing workflows through automation, marketing operations management analysis and ROI reporting
  • Streamline processes and integrate multiple systems to increase operational efficiencies and visibility
  • Work with Marketing Program Managers to scope and build new applications and processes to increase lead flow to sales
  • Collaborate with Marketing Programs team and Operations to ensure file is updated on a campaign by campaign basisEnsure data processes are established and run smoothly
  • Understand and execute to established processes for campaign launch, including creating workspaces, list segmentation, importing program templates, campaign automation, landing pages, and reporting.
  • Project manage campaign launches to deadlines and communicate dependencies
  • Continuously evaluate and suggest process improvements to expedite campaign production
  • Look for opportunities to optimize programs and performance management
  • Build nurture engagement program workflows in Marketo
  • Create and maintain accurate and complete process documentation
  • Share best practices with regard to marketing automation capabilities, testing and projected results internally and externally (clients).
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to provide template reports that can be automatically delivered that show campaign effectiveness against industry standards both at the campaign, product line and aggregate levels.
  • Provide regular reporting on Marketo utilization, campaign effectiveness, response rates and related marketing ROI metrics.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and provide training on an on-going basis to ensure that everyone is using Marketo to its full potential.
 Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 – 5 years of hands-on marketing automation experience
  • Prefer experience with Marketo, specifically emails, forms, landing pages, campaigns, program templates, workspaces, lead partitions, distribution lists, contact groups, and reporting
  • Excellent time-management, organization and project management skills, with attention to detail from inception through execution
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong writing, communication and collaboration skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field or equivalent experience
Bonus Points
  • Understanding of web development principles and web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus!
  • Experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML or other creative software also a plus
  • Marketo certification
  • Agency or client support model experience
  • Banking industry experience
