Need advise on how to give appropriate programs credit for generating MQLs

To enable us to properly report which programs are contributing to leads reaching MQL status, we've added a new "success" program step to all of our channels - called "Promoted - Achieved MQL Status".  This will be used in a dedicated smart campaign within all programs (e.g., a contact-us page on our website) for when a lead reaches MQL status within 5 days of becoming a member of that program.  But I can't figure out how to setup the smart list appropriately without changing the program status of EVERY program a lead is a member of.

I initially thought this would work, but then realized the "date of activity" constraint would always trigger in this case (in fact, I don't even think this specific constraint should be valid for a trigger since it will always be true):

Any thoughts here?

What if they are part of 3 different programs in that 5 day period, then they all get credit in this way?

What I have done in the past is to use the Most Recent Campaign Field and pull that token into a MQL Reason field as well as stamp the MQL score to freeze it.

Maybe your campaign actually needs to be a batch that runs nightly.

Data Changed IS Lifecycle Stage, New Value=MQL, in Past 5 Days
Member of Program IS TRUE
Status IS NOT Attained MQL (or other advanced stages)

Re: Need advise on how to give appropriate programs credit for generating MQLs

Thanks Josh.  We recognize that this scenario can play out - where more than one program can get credit for an MQL.  But that's OK.  The important thing here is we need for this activity to be part of the program - as a specific program status ("Promoted - Achieved MQL Status") - rather than populate the lead record with this data (which we already do anyway, e.g., we have fields called "MQL Channel", "MQL Date" and "MQL Program".  All of our programs are tagged with specific "Campaigns" (these are our campaign names, not smart campaigns) and "Regions/Countries".  The end goal is to create reports out of RCE that can give us # Responses (specific program status like "clicked", "registered", etc.) and # MQLs each quarter, by campaign and by region.  And the only way we've determined to do this was to report on specific program statuses within all of our programs.
