Measuring SFDC Activities for SLAs

We are implementing new lead handoff process where SLA has two components:
  1. once a marketing qualified lead is assigned to SDR, did rep take action and either accept or reject lead within specified period.
  2. did they make enough outreach attempts within a certain period of time
Number one is easy to monitor/measure, but I'm not sure how to measure number of SFDC activities logged by rep from Marketo.

Anyone have any suggestions for how to measure from Marketo if rep did their X attempts within X period of time?

Thanks for any input.

Re: Measuring SFDC Activities for SLAs

You can use Activity Was Logged or Updated and # of times. Maybe add a +1 to an SLA score?

If you want to count Activities, probably best to do that in SFDC with a formula field and apex trigger. Then have Marketo trigger off of that data. So if a lead has a field of "Attempt Count" then marketo can see that and do something.

Re: Measuring SFDC Activities for SLAs

I've setup a custom field to add +1 each time Activity is Logged.

One challenge is filtering activity history to only count activities that are outbound attempts vs. activities that were just logged by systems.

It's tough to come up with logic using things like subject contains that is bullet proof.

There is no "Type" constraint on Marketo filter "Activity was Logged"

It would be great if Marketo could add that to the list of available constraints.
