POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Technologist utilizes technology to support marketing efforts on a corporate level. Manages all technical aspects of the organization’s marketing automation tool, including email marketing, marketing lead management, database/list management, campaign execution and analysis of campaign metrics. The position will require extensive use of Marketo, Salesforce.com, and Microsoft SharePoint. On occasion will be responsible for assisting with research as needed to support to marketing campaign preparation.
 
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITES
  • Responsible for all marketing related technology programs and systems, including Marketo, Salesforce.com, VOCUS and SharePoint.
  • Manage marketing automation system (e.g. Marketo), including:
  • Serve as expert in administering the automation system
  • Set up, test, execute and manage marketing campaigns (including email campaigns, trade shows, webinars, advertising, etc.)
  • Set up programs / campaigns (emails, forms, landing pages, etc.)
  • Design and implement automated business rules
  • Perform A/B testing to optimize campaign performance
  • Analyze and optimize campaigns
  • Develop marketing dashboards to measure open rates, click through, deliverability, conversions
  • Assemble reports by compiling, consolidating, formatting and summarizing information
  • Maintain marketing contact database quality including building and maintaining data governance and segmentation programs
  • Build contact and account scoring programs
  • Manage integration with adjacent systems (e.g., Salesforce.com) and understand and develop data model according to evolving business needs
  • Design and implement standard processes (as it applies to marketing automation)
  • Manage adjacent web tools and platforms (e.g., Citrix/GoToWebinar, Cvent, CrowdCompass)
  • Manage marketing aspects of CRM system (Salesforce.com), including:
  • Create and manage all marketing related SFDC campaigns
  • Create, manage and clean campaign member lists
  • Import new campaign lists via People Importer
  • Research new leads via Data.com
  • Create and manage SFDC Dashboards
  • Input opportunities from marketing related programs (trade shows, webinars, emails, etc.)
  • Provide day-to-day end-user support as needed (including system configuration, complex formulas and system maintenance)
  • Educate other users with best practices to enhance and increase their knowledge of Salesforce.com
  • Manage SharePoint library (Sales & Marketing Central)
  • Update documents/files in marketing collateral library
  • Update Inmar events calendar
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of the daily employee newsletter
 
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications
  • 2-4 years experience in Marketo required
  • 2-4 years experience working with a CRM systems (i.e., SalesForce or NetSuite) required
  • Technical savvy and comfort with software applications
  • Aptitude for learning new technology concepts and systems/software quickly
  • Must be thorough and very attentive to detail
  • Driven to continuously improve systems and processes
  • Experience with integrating
  • Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel is required
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and other web programming languages is a HUGE plus
  • Working knowledge of project management software (i.e., ASANA and Harvest) is a HUGE plus
  • Understanding of key online marketing strategies and concepts
  • Ability to think logically and analytically to solve complex problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, project and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
  • Some extended work hours and travel may be required at times
