Surveys in Marketo mapping to a custom object

Has anyone on here been able to create a survey and have in map into customer object in Salesforce?  I'd like to have an object like form/survey that would be connected to the contact because I don't want all those fields in the contact record.

I'm just wondering if anyone has done this successfully and how they went about it?

that would be a good way to do this. But since each survey could be different, are you sure you want to do this?

If you build the object, you can def sync to Marketo.

I'm not 100%.  I'm trying to figure out what is best.  I don't mind creating one object and maybe having a ton of fields in that one layout (instead of several different layouts).

My company has begun doing more and more surveys and I just need a place where they are all centralized without overwhelming the contact/lead objects.

Angela, it sounds like you may need a third party tool for this. I've heard good things about SnapApp and SurveyMonkey always works as well.

Does SurveyMonkey map directly into Salesforce or Marketo?

Re: Surveys in Marketo mapping to a custom object

Hi Angela - have successfully done this with ClickTools. They do a direct integration into a Salesforce custom object registering each fill out of the survey as a "response" and creating a new record within the custom object associated with a lead/contact. From there we sync with the custom object and pull info against the leads/contacts into Marketo - based on specific responses we can then add these people into Marketo programs/campaigns. Is that what you are looking for?

It does require creating custom fields on the Salesforce custom object for every question you want to ask so if you change your questions a lot this can become tedious - it does also then give you the ability to build nice dashboards in Salesforce around the responses.
