Salesforce Activity Sync: retroactive updates

I have edited my company's Marketo "Salesforce Sync Options" such that it excludes from the activivities module things like:
- Filled out form
- Sent Email
- etc...
Is there anyway to have these my updates to the sync apply to previously sync[ed]  activities? Should I wait until a full system sync is completed?  Or will these "legacy" activities stay in my SFDC layout ad infinitum?

Thx,

Giovanni

Re: Salesforce Activity Sync: retroactive updates

I'd think they would stay in your SFDC activity history until your SF admin deletes them.

That shouldn't be too hard to do since they follow a standard naming convention. For example, run an activity report for all completed activities assigned to Marketo User (or whatever SFDC user is used to sync your two systems) with a subject that contains "Was Sent Email" then use the data loader or some other tool to delete those activities.
