If rules in Forms or Removing someone from a workflow if they select a certain field

Hi there,

We're using marketo to track blog subscribers to our site. The blog has different sections and users may sign up for either all of them or whatever combination they prefer.

Post subscrition, we want to send them a confirmation email.

Given that we have different smart campaigns for each type of blog section people subscribe to, what's the best way of making sure that users don't receive multiple emails for each blog they subscribe ?

Thanks!

There's a few different ways of approaching it depending on how you have it structured. Hard to say what the best way is without seeing the blog and how you've set up the current marketo config.

If you have a naming convention for the confirmation emails, one method is to simply add a filter to the smart campaigns that send the subscription confirmations, so that the email will only go out if

Not Was Sent Email Contains [common string for all subscription confirmations]

Another method would be to have a common campaign to send all subscription confirmations (you can add choices to your email flow step to send the different emails, if they are different) and adjust qualification rules so a lead could only go through it once.
