Wait Step in Time Range, not Must End On

Help I'm stuck!  I'm building an email alert system for our SDR team that must work immediately but only within business hours: M-F 8-6.  Not end at a specific time M-F like the "Must End On" advanced feature for Wait step.

Context:
  1. Lead is MQL time stamped => lead is assigned and alert is sent immediately regardless of working hours (that's easy)
  2. If no activity has been logged or a lead status changed within 1 hour, reassign to another rep only during business hours
I don't want it to wait until the next day at a specific time like the "Must End On" feature (unless I've misunderstood that faeture). I want it to work every business day within a time range, that's it.

Any ideas?

Re: Wait Step in Time Range, not Must End On

Whats the reason you wouldn't want the alert going to the SDR team outside business hours?

The only solution I can think of is if you sent the alerts to an isolated inbox, and then yourself or a member of your team then goes though them and manually sends them out to the SDR team?

Hope that helps.

One option would be SOAP API if you have access to web developers.
A programming language such as PHP or Java would handle that easily.

Re: Wait Step in Time Range, not Must End On

Thanks guys.

Andrew - the alert can go out whenever, we don't want the lead to be re-assigned to someone else out of business hours. E.g. If I am a west coast SDR and a lead comes in at 8:30 PM, an alert goes out to me. Cool, no problem. If no activity happens by 9:30 PM, I don't want the lead to be reassigned to someone else. However, the next day, if not activity has happened at 9:00 AM, then I do want it reassigned to someone else. I want the flow to execute within a time range and pause activity until that time range begins.

Does that make sense? Any other ideas how to do this?  Thanks!
