Email Link Report

I've now spent almost an hour on this... I need to create a report that shows just 1 email - not all. I need to see how many people clicked on what link in that email and also who those people are associated with each link.

I tried the Email Link Performance report and no matter howw strict I make the Smart List, it pulls every single email we have ever sent. Totally useless.

How do you report on an individual email in Analytics this way??

Re: Email Link Report

I go into Design Studio Emails under Setup and select the email I want to report on. Drag it over into the filters.

Re: Email Link Report

Ok - I need this to be in Analytics since my emails are not in Design Studio. You cannot report on emails in Analytics and get this level of data?

Re: Email Link Report

I added Marketing Activity Emails in the Settings and that did nothing either.

I've been frustrated with this too - subscribing for solutions. Fingers crossed! 🙂

Re: Email Link Report

I go to Analytics, and create a new report of type "Email Link Performance". Then I go to the Smart List tab and drag over the "Clicked Link in Email" filter, and set it to the email in question. Next, I go to the Setup tab, and double-click on the "Date of Activity" row and set the date to when the email in question was sent. (If you skip this step and the email wasn't sent within the currently selected time window, it won't return any results.) Then I'm able to see how many people clicked each link under the Report tab.

To generate a list of exactly who those people were, you can navigate back over to the smart list tab and click "View Qualified Leads" under the gray tabs at the top. That pops up a new window with the actual list.

At least that's how it works for me--if you're sending the same email multiple times (especially on the same day) it might not be so straightforward. Hope that helps!

Re: Email Link Report

I followed your instructions and the report still show clicks on links from 2012 emails.

'View Qualified Leads' doesnt help either since this just gives me a list of names. I have no idea what each person clicked on looking at this.

Thanks anyways.

Re: Email Link Report

Ugh--sorry I was hoping that would help 😞

It's really weird that it's still showing clicks from 2012 emails, especially if you're setting the specific email in addition to updating the date range.
