Using email progression statuses within a trade show channel

Hi,

After a trade show we send "thank you for stopping by emails". The email is defined as a local asset in the trade show program, so the trigger smart campaigns for opening/clicking email get progression status of the trade show (attended, engaged, etc.) instead of email. How do I change to email progression status (opened, clicked, etc.)?

Thanks,
Adi.

Re: Using email progression statuses within a trade show channel

Someone can't go backward in a progression status, so since stopped buy the booth" is likely a higher number than "opened email" or "clicked link in email" you would have to add a new status to the tag you are using and change there leads status to that...seems better to create a new program for the post-show outbound campaign as this is a new touch. Doing this will give you both touches in your reporting...

We have triggers for Opens/Clicks emails so it is redundant for you to create progression statuses/program statuses to manage this.  I would recommend using one of these email triggers rather than the program stauts, and then you don't have to worry about the fact that they can't move backwards.

Re: Using email progression statuses within a trade show channel

Thanks for the helpful answers. I guess I should have refined my question.

The campaign is indeed a trigger campaign, but the flow is trying to change status in the corresponding SFDC campaign. I created the SFDC campaign from Marekto, and it inherited the trade show statuses from Marekto.

Thanks,
Adi.

Re: Using email progression statuses within a trade show channel

Got it...So, if you have the program synced to a Salesforce campaign the flow-steps around Salesforce campaigns will not work if they are in smartcampaigns that are local assets to your program. Move the smart campaign out of your program and it should work as exspectted.
