Trigger off of Opp Closed Won not triggering

I have added a trigger to one of my nurturing campaigns to trigger on a closed/won opportunity of a certain type. I made a dummy opportunity and saved it and have been waiting 10-15 mins for the trigger to go off. It has not. I also have a smart list which supports the campaign, with the filter "Opportunity Updated in Last 1 Day". This does not show my dummy lead attached to the opportunity. What am I missing? Does the lead have to be PRIMARY contact on the opp to be considered?

Re: Trigger off of Opp Closed Won not triggering

A couple more things to check before I give up :0)  Check the Activity Log for the lead that has a Contact Role on your dummy Opp.  Is there an Add to Opportunity activity and in its Activity Detail is the Stage a value prior to "Won"?  Is there a Update Opportunity activity some time later and in its Activity Detail is the Stage value "Won"?

Hay Naor,

I believe they just need to have a Contact Role, not necessarily the Primary. Can you provide a screen shot of your smart list? When you say "of a certain type," what do you mean exactly?

Re: Trigger off of Opp Closed Won not triggering

Here it is. TYPE is a field under Opportunity. I'm specifically looking for 3 types, as indicated here. This smart list yields 0 results, and the identical triggered campaign does not trigger.

Re: Trigger off of Opp Closed Won not triggering

To me, it appears that you have set this up correctly. I recreated your smart list and was able to see results. What is the timing of your synch? Every 30 mins? 1 hour? I don't imagine that is the reason, but thought I would ask.

Did you update the Opp before adding the dummy record to it?

Re: Trigger off of Opp Closed Won not triggering

I think i've asked Marketo to make our synch as fast as available. I created both a fake lead and fake opp and did everything by the book. Still nothing. I even updated the opp multiple times to ensure it was updated.

Got it. If you feel up for it, can you provide a screen shot of the Account Detail and the Opp Detail? To me, you have set this up right. I don't mind continuing to brainstorm with you. If not, maybe someone else can chime in or you can ask support.

Re: Trigger off of Opp Closed Won not triggering

Naor, there may be a timing issue (of microseconds) between when the trigger fires in your smart campaign and the lead qualifies in your smart list and is available to the smarft list if the Opportunity update that was made in the last 1 day is the same one that is causing the trigger to fire.  Can you provide ascreen shot of the smart list in the smart campaign as well as a screen shot of the flow actions?

Re: Trigger off of Opp Closed Won not triggering

Hi Elliott - I would think that would be the case, but a day later even my smartlist (which is just a smartlist, no other ties to anything else) will not populate with my 1 dummy lead from the dummy opportunity created.
