Forward to a Friend

Curious if anyone has tested differnet placements of a "forward to a friend" link on an email template. Looking to test this out and wondering if anyone has had any success. What's worked best, top right corner, footer, integrated into the message?

Re: Forward to a Friend

I have my forward to a friend (I want to change to colleague because we're also B2B)  for our blog and podcast emails at the bottom after the blog content, next to the subscribe to this newsletter and we've done ok with it.  I have yet to add it to our events broadcast templates, but I'm trying to see the best placement for it.  With our old email application and emails for events, it used to be on the upper right hand side just below the subheader.  But I have no numbers to share on that one. 😞

@Kim how did you change forward to a friend to forward to a colleague?  Did you change it on the token?

Re: Forward to a Friend

This is a great question, I am curious to see if anyone has results on this. We just changed the wording of ours to say "Forward to a Colleague" (as this may work better for us since we're B2B), but it's too soon to tell the difference.

Re: Forward to a Friend

We are also considering "Forward to a Colleague" or just "Forward this" or "forward". We are B2B focused and would agree that "friend" isn't always the best.

We might test a few options and positions and see what works best and will share any results.

Re: Forward to a Friend

Michelle, most of our emails that include the forward to a friend function are from 3 templates. So I just changed the wording in those templates' html.

Ah I see. Ok I think I just might do that too.  Thanks Kim.
