Batch Campaign Question

If I run and activate a batch email campaign, and after the first email is sent through it, if I go back and add another filter onto the smart list will the batch campaign run the second email according to the updated smart list in the campaign?

Re: Batch Campaign Question

Hi Jennifer,

Once you run your batch campaign, you will have to re-schedule it again by going to the "Run Once" or "Schedule Recurrance" option. And yes, this new run will incorporate all your updates to the smart list or flow.

Re: Batch Campaign Question

Hi Jennifer, yes, this can be done but you will need to update the settings at the end to allow people to flow through multiple times (if you wanted them to receive the email more than once). If you only wanted them to receive it once, but you wanted to change the criteria altogether, then be sure to leave it set as "can only flow thorugh once".

Also, be sure the campaign is totally done sending before updating the filter, or it can abort the flow of the campaign.

Re: Batch Campaign Question

Thank you for your replies. Just for clarification...

My batch campaign was set to send out two emails. One went out already, and I went to change the smart list filters, and the second email will go out (according to my original flow). My second email will NOT use the new smart list filters in the batch campaign.

Re: Batch Campaign Question

Ahhhhh! Got it. Anyone who is currently sitting in the wait step (anyone who received the first email) will receive the 2nd email, regardless of the new filters that you set -- which is what it sounds like you're looking for.
