Use 2 different forms for the same landing page and display only 1 according to presence of visitor in my database

Hi,

I want to use the progressive profiling for my pages where we offer a doc as a download.

2 type of visitors can visit this kind of page:
- group 1: people not in our database - I just want to ask them very few questions (i.e. name, company and email)
- group 2: user already in my database > I want to enrich their profile with additonal questions (hence, a new form?)

Since I need to use 1 single page for 1 document, I'd like to know if we can choose which form should be displayed (based on the fact that marketo recognizes - or not -  if the user is already a member of my database).

I tried to look into the help article/discussion but couldn’t find any relevant content... I’m not a tech IT guy and not sure if it is related to dynamic content

Any idea how we could do that?

Tx!

Hey Gregory, Perhaps you're making this a little overly complicated. Why not just use standard progressive profiling? If you know someone already, they won't be shown the early stage questions of name & company. They will only see the fields they haven't yet filled out, the late stage questions.

A second option is to as you suggest, use dynamic content. Then you would have to create a segment, known users, and dynamically segment on whether they are known, if they are known then show them a 2nd form.

For a non-tech guy, these are the two ways to go. You don't want to be writing custom javascript to query the database to determine which form to display. Either use progressive profiling or dynamic content.

Tx Adam.

I like the idea of a unique and progressive form. I did try it but my results were not very conclusive :). I'm not sure if I set this up correctly... (do you have a clear help article/process I should follow to do so?)

What I want to do is k
> keep displayed at least 2 or 3 fields  (at least name, company and email) - regardless if it is a known user or not
> have a maximum of 2 additional specific questions displayed (FYI - I have 6 additional specific field to obtain a 'complete' profile, but I don't want to overwhelm my visitors with too many questions at the same time... hence, my interest for the progressive profiling)

tx for your help!

Does anyone know what this resource was named? The link is re-directing to the "product docs" area, and I'm having trouble finding the info.
