Annual Email Survey

I would like to create a campaign that automatically sends an email 1 year after the person becomes a customer. Im trying to figure out how to do this with a smart campaign - can anyone help? The trigger is not that they Converted, it's based on an Account Creation data field in SF. So basically I want the system to look every day and see if anyone has a 1 year anniversary and if so, send them an email with a satisfaction poll.

Good afternoon, Christina!

In this case using a trigger might not be the best idea if you forsee a large amount of leads that might all convert to a customer at the same time as this could cause a noticeable drop in performance when they all hit the campaign.  I'm testing out a few ideas I have to accomplish this, so I'll get back to you as soon as I have something more "presentable" for a possible idea/solution.

Hi Christina, Do you have that field synced to Marketo? If so, it's as simple as a Smart Campaign using the "Data Value Changed" trigger, Account Creation Data field "Is not empty." The flow would start with a one year waitstep and then sent the email.

You may want to include a fliter in the flow step like "if lead status is client" just as a safeguard in case you have anyone that jumps ship early, I don't know your business so I don't know that it would be necessary.

Finally, you would likely want to create a report about the email's activity to be sent to you monthly (or weekly depending on volume) so you can keep up with when these are going out.

Cool! I didnt even know that was there! 

So if I set this up as everyone has help me to do here, will this only impact those leads entered from today on? Or can the system look at the field I am calling in the Data Chnage Value and calculate 1 year from there? (some may be today/tomorrow, etc.)
