Role
NAPW is building out strategic marketing capabilities, and laying a foundation for growth.  One key capability is the development and deployment of Marketo for marketing automation and email marketing.  This position will:   1) Manage and run the Marketo marketing system; and 2) Own the Marketo customization and integration processes. The manager will also track and report on results and return-on-investment. 
 
This role is based in Long Island, NY.
 
You will be responsible for the successful execution of a mix of customer marketing campaigns and programs focused around NAPW’s major customer segments and subsegments , the ultimate goal of which is driving revenue and customer loyalty. These actions may require advanced customizations of custom CSS, Jscript, Jquery, third party embedded code, Widget customization, HTML coding (from the scratch and/or aided by third party HTML IDEs).
 
In this role, you will support the means to effectively test and measure the results of these programs as well as define system requirements to support as necessary.  You will also be interacting with the Marketo community in order to get solutions to any technical issue that may arise.
 
You should be able to make recommendations about best practices for using Marketo functionality as well as recommendations to build, test, track, modify and continuously improve upon email campaigns and results.
 
Additionally, you will support the email communication needs of other stakeholders, such as Sales, Customer Service, Membership, Marketing, Social Media, Member Outreach, Lead Generation and Strategic Alliances. 


Responsibilities
  • Go-to resource on Marketo capabilities and functionality
  • Convert existing email marketing into Marketo, and launch new campaigns
  • Execute and results reporting for email marketing and nurture programs in Marketo
  • Create landing pages and email templates
  • Integrate third party datasources and embed third party components and/or services
  • Customize Marketo widgets
  • Campaign set up/monitoring in Marketo by translating marketing strategy into actionable communication tracks
  • Analysis of campaign performance and recommendations for optimization and future enhancements
  • Data analysis and integration from the CRM for population sizing, segmentation and results tracking
  • Collaborate with  internal stakeholders for campaign communication execution and  results tracking
  • Create dashboard reporting
  • Manage the overall email communications calendar
  • Take an active role in driving and managing the company’s data capture and maintenance strategy (i.e. data hygiene)
  • Develop, implement and manage an email deliverability strategy
 

Qualifications
  • Proven experience with CRM, marketing automation/lead-generation programs and e-mail marketing (Marketo specifically).  Highly skilled in all Marketo functionality.
  • 2+ years administering a marketing automation platform, with at least 1 of those years working in Marketo
  • 2+ years working with HTML, CSS, Jscript/Jquery . Experience working with a web development language (php, python, asp, jsp, ror) is desired.
  • Excellent computer and data manipulation skills (Spreadsheet and Database/SQL skills) and capable of working with both customer and marketing data.  Ability to analyze results and recommend improvement based on data tracking, analysis and results reporting. 
  • Knowledge of data capture and management strategies preferred (i.e. working with forms and managing data hygiene)
  • Experience with A/B testing to continuously optimize content and segmentation based on email KPIs such as open rate, CTR, conversion and list growth.
  • Exceptional team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a flair for coming up with creative solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and have a passion for testing
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrate high personal performance standards and have the desire and ability to continuously learn
