Best practices for engaging attendees for an upcoming trade show?

Would anyone be willing to share/have insight on best practices in Marketo for hyping up excitement for an upcoming trade show? We have a list of registered attendees and have sent an initial e-mail.

Thanks!

I'm assuming you are exhibiting at the show not running it?

If you can do a 2 or 3 part email campaign that incrementally hypes the event.  I've seen targeted giveaways work very well such as "Come by our booth for a demo and we'll give you a $x Amazon Gift card." or "For only show visitors we will be offering this pricing / discount / additional items"

Or define a specific benefit of visiting such as "Stop by our booth to learn how to..."  or "Come by and get a free evaluation of ..."

When organizing:
1. Already share some details from/by the presenters
2. Already give some tips on top presentations (so they can put it in their calendar)
3. During event: Use iPads to update their program status to attended, and send a sms with tips during the event).

I'd say it depends on whether you are trying to drive more registrations or just encourage attendance and hype

Either way, some good thoughts on promoting an event are through social, contests, offering cool giveaways and content at the show, etc.  Another way we ensure good attendance is to do multiple reminder emails, and in some cases call-downs to remind people to attend.
