Organizing tokens

Hi all,

We are building a comprehensive cross-regional webinar program template with several different versions of promotional emails. We've decided to use tokens to eliminate the need to go in and edit each email on a weekly basis. We are now realizing that this will require lots of tokens (about 100), and we need the ability to organize them by both region and email version.  I know that we can use a naming convention to do this, but having all these tokens in one view seems a bit overwhelming.

Does anyone have experience/have you run into issues with having to update a large amount of tokens in one program on a regular basis?  The ability to use folders to organize tokens seems like it would be ideal - it's already an idea in the community by Edward M but hasn't received much feedback, so I'm wondering if others have had the same thoughts or if this is a non-issue for most.

Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Organizing tokens

We're not using that many tokens right now, so this is a non-issue for us today.  I agree that folders would be a good solution though.

Re: Organizing tokens

I agree that folders could be usefull when you have lots of tokens to keep track of in one place. But perhaps inherited tokens on the campaign folder level be used for some values? Just a thought.

Re: Organizing tokens

Yup! Twenty tokens can turn into 100 real quickly when you decide to segment your emails dynamically. It'd be great to have a folder for each set of 20 (and subfolders within those).

Re: Organizing tokens

Thanks Meghan for sharing the idea again. It’s a nightmare having a Master program and catering for local regions with lots of tokens.

But the idea does not have enough votes which tell me that not many are using tokens extensively or they would feel our pain. Please vote it up if you haven’t already. Cheers!

Voted! I would love folders for my dynamic Tokens!
