Activity visibility and multiple scoring

Hi,

We would like to avoid duplicate contacts / leads in Salesforce and at the same time have different groups of users perform lead campaigns. This means that we need:

1. Isolate the Marketo activities between different user groups, e.g. one group won't see another's activities
2. Have multiple scores for each of the user groups

Is this possible or does Marketo architecture leaves no choice but to pollute the Salesforce instance and indefinitely duplicate contacts and leads?

Suggestions would be very appreciated, thank you.

Re: Activity visibility and multiple scoring

Do you want to isolate lead activities between user groups primarily for lead scoring?  If so, you can implement multiple score fields (as we have) and use filters to select which activities increment the score.  Are you using workspaces and partitions?  If so, only those groups you chose to be visible in a particular partition can access a lead and consequently update its score.  Be sure to prepend the workspace's name to each asset that is created, to make it easy to filter them for scoring purposes..

Re: Activity visibility and multiple scoring

Thanks for you answer Elliot, we would look into the multiple scoring, that part is clear to me. With regards to the visibility of activities ... what I meant is that we would to have a lead accessible to multiple workspaces but have their marketing activities not visible to each other. I am guessing this is not possible and multiple instances of the same contact is required?
