Sending an email from a different domain

We would like to use some marketo magic to send emails from a different domain (one we own, don't worry) but I don't think this is going to work out very well due to the pre-configured domain in admin settings. If we change the FROM in any email template, i suspect it wil lbe caught in more spam filters than usual if we were to use an alternate domain from the one in settings.

Any thoughts?

Re: Sending an email from a different domain

You'll want to make sure your SPF and DKIM are set up. (You'll probably need to get your IT department involved.) You'll also need to put in a ticket with Marketo to get it turned on properly.

Re: Sending an email from a different domain

From the technical standpoint Marketo can send emails from any domain.

You are right, there are factors to be considered.

The email branding is currently global therefore the email branded links may look wrong for end users.

Excluding links, is there a greater chance for spam blockage as I presume, Bgomes?

Re: Sending an email from a different domain

Jamie can we do this for the domain #2 while still maintaining the deliverability of emails from domain #1 ? Sorry not much tech knowledge in that space, although I know our IT guys did all the needed steps as you mention for the primary domain #1

I think I answered my own question and the answer is NO problems. Thanks for this , I will have my IT guys set this up on the other domain and open up a ticket accordingly. Appreciate the quick responses.
