Reducing lead scores by percentage

Hi all,
How do I reduce lead scores by a % value, for example taking 10% off the total score each week?

I assume this should be possible since it is mentioned on the Marketo 'Definitive Guide to Lead Scoring', page 30:
"You can introduce a decay mechanism with a reoccurring score reduction, either as a simple subtraction, or a percentage reduction."

I can't find any information about how this is achieved anywhere!

Thanks in advance,
Alun.

That's the beauty of content marketing...sometimes it doesn't match up with reality 🙂

It is crazy that it is specifically mentioned in their collateral, but you can't score in that way. I wonder how much it would impact the platform to run percentage calculations. There has to be a reason they haven't rolled it out.

You can export the Score in a spreadsheet, run a calculation on it, then re upload the New Score to the Lead Score field.

Disappointing to see that on the 2012 ideas they were labeled as "We like it", and on the 2013 idea they labeled it as "We like it, but it's challenging"...

Just thinking about this, while it wouldn't be ideal to take out of Marketo, it's got to be possible to do in SFDC... I'm going to work with my SFDC crew tomorrow and see what we can come up with!

I was thinking the same thing about Salesforce Dory. Let us know what comes out of that meeting.
