Engagement Program change made lead that were exhausted not be

I have an engagement program setup and had email content in a stream.  I just changed the stream to contain programs instead of emails so we could report success differently.  I created programs and MOVED the emails that were in the engagement stream into the programs and then added the programs to the stream (and removed the emails).  Hopefully, that all made sense...lol.

Now all the leads that were exhausted are not anymore so these leads would receive the same email again (just via the program).  I assumed since I moved the email into the program MArketo would know and understand that and the leads would still be exhausted.

Does anyone know if you can mark a lead as "received" a certain program/email?  Or another way to get around this so that I don't resend the same content to the leads that have already received it?

Thanks!

Can you add the leads to the program? That ought to cause them to be skipped.

Marketo will likely send the email again because it doesn't know the emails now.

You are correct Josh.  I tested it 🙂

Do you have any other suggestions of doing what I am trying to accomplish?

If you want the leads to skip receving the content once it was added to the program you must make them a member of the program.  The system will see this membership and skip the program and move to the next.
