Field Mapping Issues

Hi All,

We're having some field mapping issues. We created new custom fields in Salesforce for a form in Marketo. I've added the fields to the form and tested it. When tested, the fields are all showing up mapping correctly to the lead record. However, the fields are not staying checked when coverting the lead to a contact. I've contacted support and am having some trouble having the issue resolved. The API names are correct. For example, I added "Integrations" as a checkbox to a form. It shows as checked in the lead record. When converted. the box is unchecked.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Field Mapping Issues

well, i meant if you go into SFDC, is the Lead field mapped to the Contact field on conversion?

Inside Marketo > Admin > Field Management do you see:

Field Name
field_name_c (SFDC Lead)
field_name_c (SFDC Contact)

or like that?

it sounds like it is already. And check Dory's comment.

Re: Field Mapping Issues

Are the fields mapped in SFDC?
Does Marketo recognize that?

Re: Field Mapping Issues

They should be. I checked field management and they all are mapped to the SFDC Contact & Lead with the same API name.

Re: Field Mapping Issues

Hey Lauren, is the lead being converted before the new value of True has a chance to sync over to SFDC? SFDC will take precedence, so if the value is still False in SFDC when the lead is converted then the new value of False will sync back to Marketo.
