Digital Demand Generation Leader (Senior Manager or Director level depending on candidate) 

As a senior member of the marketing team, this role is responsible for designing, building, and initiating campaigns that generate sales engagement and create opportunities.  The role reports to the VP Marketing and works collaboratively with the Director of Product Marketing on go-to-market strategies, content development, messaging, and sales enablement.

In this role, you will be expected to support sales strategies and build complementary engagement campaigns that align to the overall business goals.  Viewed as a subject matter expert, you will be expected to advise, recommended, and implement new strategies and best practices as it pertains to demand generation, lead qualification, digital engagement and strategy, and reporting.

 

In this role, the person should have experience in the following areas:

 

DEMAND GENERATION

Generate the sales pipeline through multi-channel demand generation campaigns including building an ongoing digital strategy, planning and designing supporting content, and building out campaigns in a marketing automation platform.

Develop the Account Based Marketing (ABM) strategy and execute multi-channel demand generation programs targeting the telecommunications industry in order to maximize opportunity conversion and grow strategic account engagement. Also, potential future energy and utilities verticals.

Collaborate and develop action plan to improve and refine demand gen programs through monthly reports, testing, refinement and best practices

Strong understanding of the lead funnel and lead acquisition, and conversion metrics

 

DIGITAL MARKETING

Strong understanding of digital channels, the impact, and how to leverage to drive new and returning prospect engagement.

Recommend, develop and lead the execution of a digital marketing strategy in line with business growth and customer acquisition objectives Sigma (directly or in collaboration with agency)

Meticulously report on metrics with an eye to always refining approaches to maximize successful results

Champion for content sourcing, content creation, and persistently feeding our digital marketing efforts with new relevant content to drive a higher level of Sigma mindshare and resulting marketing qualified leads

Develop the appropriate strategy to improve organic search ranking for keywords and phrases that will drive Sigma’s online presence towards a stronger lead generation source

Strong understanding of SEO, what is the best practices are, how to leverage for impact, and monitor to change and optimize.

Website best practice – drive engagement through form conversion and other API tools that enhance the overall Sigma web experience.

Be connected with community, media, and social channels that can extend the brand reach.

 

Marketing Technology

Manage all campaigns in Marketo and ensure integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365

Understand how different tools can be leveraged thru API integration, to drive more qualified prospects into the funnel. Be able to identify, scope, and management the implementation of any news tools needed.

Be tech savvy and value the importance of data quality.

 

Analytics / Data Management

Expert in reporting on demand generation, digital attribution, and sales enablement.

Comfortable reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis; the overall impact marketing is having on the organization as a whole.

Passionate about marketing data and understanding how to ensure clean, management data lives both in the CRM and MAP systems.

 

Overall Management

Manage the business development manager role (inside sales) as a key element of the demand generation function

Program manage outside vendors that contribute to demand creation programs including designers, digital agency, crm/marketo consultant, media promotion, and appointment setting agencies.

 

Skills Required

10+ years experience in B2B enterprise marketing developing both strategy and execution for demand generation.

Comfortable analyzing data in excel – including pivot tables, formulas, and charts.

Strong analytical skills and comfortable reporting and presenting to management.

Strong writing and communication skills

Demonstrate a strong understanding of marketing automation (ideally Marketo) with the ability to effectively execute campaigns and pull reports as needed.

Familiar with MS Dynamics 365

Experience working in or with sales executives to ensure there is strong marketing / sales alignment.

Strong grasp of digital marketing strategy and best practices

Other resources and tools you should be familiar with are; Wordpress, Yoast, MS suite

Understanding of Google analytics and analyzing impact
