Marketo Certification Exam

I have few questions regarding Marketo Certification exam.

- Is there is a mock exam online ? So that one can see if he/she is fully ready of not.
- What is the passing Score?
- Can it be done online at home/office or do one have to travel to a certain test centre?

Best Regards,

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

Hi Hassan,

Here's some material and links that provide study guides. I also recommend watching the short videos with quizzes that are in the University tab of the community. https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000LH3FCAW

I don't recall the passing score (or actually I think it may not tell you), it just says if you pass or not.

There are testing centers you can go to that offer all kinds of times to take the test. But you call also do it from your own computer with a special proctored program and webcam (I've never taken it this way but they have the information in the registration area for the exam).

To me the best way to "study" for this, is being in Marketo! If you've used MKTO for a while you should have most of it covered ๐Ÿ™‚

Good Luck!

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

I agree with kim about using Marketo as the best study guide. All the taking the basics video and quiz information worked well for me as well

I think the overall passing score is 80% or higher from all 5 sections.

I took the home exam and i can say it was a pain since you had to have someone monitor via an external webcam. I was going to do it at work but since we have a firewall set here i had to do it from home. They stopped the exam if i leaned back in my chair or if i started reading a question aloud. kind of ridiculous. Overall if you're comfortable in Marketo its not to difficult just make sure you study any weekness you may have.

Best of luck

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

I'm going to second what both Kim and Dan have said... if you've been using all parts of Marketo for some time, and feel very comfortable with all of the features/nuances of them, then you should be pretty set.

It wasn't so bad for me taking the exam via webcam, but it was a little bit different than anything I've ever done before. If you were planning on using a laptop's webcam, that will not work as you need something that's several feet away from you and can see you, your surroundings, the desk you're working on... This way they're able to accurately monitor and know you aren't using notes, or someone else isn't there helping you.

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

Just came across this convo preparing for the exam and.... What?!? I was definitely planning to use my laptops camera.

Dory - Did you buy a special camera to take the test?

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

Hey Megan,

I actually thought you needed to buy an external webcam, but rereading these instructions on Kryterion it looks like they're now maybe fine using a built-in camera? Kryterion Online Proctoring

I'd create an account and run the diagnostics on your system in advance just to confirm this is true though.

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

Hi Wintha and Megan

I read Kryterion Online Proctoring , I think this doc was changed this year.

Because last year, my friend said "Laptop camera is denied." as same as Dory said.

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

Hi everyone

Today, I registered KRYTERION and found another doc.

Unfortunately according to this doc, still denied.

Re: Marketo Certification Exam

Yes. They were picky. I finally found a camera to use, tested it, it worked during my tests and then not on the exam. Then my exam expired and I had to contact support 3 times before someone could truly help me. It was a nightmare, but I finally got it working, took the test and passed! Thanks for everyone's input and help. I think next time I'll just go to a testing center. It seems much easier.
