Salesforce / Marketo Field Mapping

We do not want to sync all of our salesforce fields with Marketo for the initial sync process. We don't want these fields in Marketo. Does anyone know how to stop certain Salesforce fields from coming over during the initial sync?

Let me know - thank you!

I think the possible way to achieve this is to hide the field from Marketo user.

Re: Salesforce / Marketo Field Mapping

The fields you don't want synced should not be visible to the Marketo Sync User within SFDC.

Just wanted to emphasize that this is an extremely good practice. I wish we had done it! Once a field syncs to Marketo you can never delete it in Marketo. Much better to be thoughtful about what syncs down—you can always sync it later!

Thank you, everyone! Do you know if it is possible to hide fields if you have Salesforce Professional and not Enterprise? We have not been able to find a solution for this in Salesforce Professional.

You just have to go to profiles section in salesforce and click on the user you have created and remove read access and edit access
