Updating embedded forms

If I update a form that is embedded on our website, do I need to reload the embed code on our website to reflect the changes I made?

Re: Updating embedded forms

Hi James,

Just refresh the page! The embed code is referencing the Marketo form asset id to determine what form to load. As long as it is the same form asset in Marketo (i.e. you're making updates to an existing form that is already embedded on the page), you just need to refresh your web page to see the newly approved changes.

If you clone the form and make changes, that new form asset will also have a new ID, and the embed code would have to be used for that new asset, but again only if you're cloning the form or creating a brand new form asset.

Thanks!

You need to refresh the page. I don't know what else you mean by "reload."

Re: Updating embedded forms

By reload, I mean, do I have to copy the embed code from Marketo to the webpage. Or is the form automatically updated with new fields by refreshing the page?

Re: Updating embedded forms

The embed code never changes over the lifetime of the form, regardless of updates + approvals.  Just refresh the page.
