Multiple pages/campaign and one form

Hi,

This is regarding a peculiar problem that has popped up in our project. So ,we have different landing pages/campaigns and they are referring to one form. How can we formulate a solution in Marketo or a smart list which will help us to link the form with the particular page or campaign.

i.e. Being able to identify certain pages as campaign specific content, for example, the form on this XXX specific content/page can then be added to re targeting rules to create a pool of XXX users to re target to, separated out vs. YYYY page and so on. Allowing us to create these segments and be able to re target the relevant, correct message.

Any inputs and comments will be appreciated.

Thanks@

Re: Multiple pages/campaign and one form

You should take a look at the constraints for the Filled Out Form trigger, then write back with follow-up questions if any.

Hi Sanford,

Thanks for your reply. Can you please explain more on this. How this constraint will help us to resolve the issue.

Thanks

Hey Vidhi,

Sanford's referring to this constraint:

It allows you to specify which page the form had to have been filled out on, like so:

e.g. form is unsubscribe form, web page is unsubscribe page.

(note, above shows use on filled out form filter, but same constraint is available on the fills out form trigger).

Re: Multiple pages/campaign and one form

Hi Thank you so much.

Actually we are using Referrer in the constraint for Filled Out Form trigger but our problem is when it syncs to SFDC then we are not able to direct it to the particular SFDC campaign because since the form is coming from different pages and we do not know how to link it to a particular campaign in SFDC.

I think using smart list in this case would be a better idea for Add to SFDC. Any leads for this solution.

Thanks

Re: Multiple pages/campaign and one form

Hi Vidhi,

Do you have separate smart campaigns for each web page the form is on?

We use separate programs and campaigns for each landing page a form lives on and use the web page constraint noted above to differentiate. If you would like to also filter by what the referrer page is, you can use the referrer page constraint in conjunction with the web page constraint. Then in the flow of the smart campaign direct the members to the correct SFDC campaign.

Further, if you use separate programs for the different web pages each form lives on, you can change the members program status and later use that to differentiate between them in other smart lists/campaigns.

Could you provide screen shots of what your current setup is like?

Re: Multiple pages/campaign and one form

When using the "Referrer" constraint on a "fills out form" trigger ("filled out form" filter), that is not the page that drove the user to the landing page with the form.  It is the page where the form was submitted.

Re: Multiple pages/campaign and one form

Thank you, Dan! I didn't realize that that constraint changed for the fills out form filter/trigger.

Btw I explained why this is the case here: Re: Referrer Constraint for "Visits Web Page" trigger
