Trigger Campaign

Hello All,

I am running a batch and trigger campaign for an advanced nurture.

I had to make some serious changes to my filters for the batch campaign, and I am checking over my trigger campaign to make sure things are parallel to my objective.

My trigger campaign has an 'Added to SFDC campaign' trigger, since our Marketo account is connected with SFDC.

I have my 'Added to SFDC Campaign' trigger set to three sfdc campaigns now, in which I want my leads that enter those campaigns to be nurtured. I want certain leads that are going into other campaigns outside of my nurture plan to obviously not get nurtured.

Should I create both an 'Added to SFDC Campaign' is not trigger AND Member not in SFDC campaign filter to be safe?

I am looking for the most protection as possible. I know triggers and filters could be tricky.

Thanks!

Re: Trigger Campaign

Hey David,

You're trigger "added to SFDC campaign" with the campaign names should have it covered as long as no other smart campaigns are pushing leads to that nurture.

It may be a good idea to create an additional smart campaign that takes leads out of the nurture when/if they're removed from that SFDC campaign. Depending on the use case, this may happen only a very small percent of the time but it'd be good to have if you really don't want them included if not in those SFDC campaigns.

Re: Trigger Campaign

Thanks Kim!

I do have a batch campaign that I recently ran which points to three of the same SFDC campaigns that i've included in my trigger criteria as well, which are being pushed into the same engagement program and stream.

Will this be a problem?

Thanks,
David

Re: Trigger Campaign

That should be fine, any batch updates that you make would fit your criteria! It's always a good idea to just spot check some of the leads as the nurture goes to make sure all is working properly 🙂
