E Source is a research, advisory, and consulting firm for the energy sector seeking an Events Marketing Operations Specialist. Are you a motivated, energized marketer who excels at blending the creative with the analytical? Do you love the thrill of building a holistic marketing campaign, executing it, and watching the results flow in? Then this may be the job for you! You’ll get lots of hands-on experience and there’s plenty of growth potential.

E Source is an established independent company (we’ve been around for 30 years) with an unofficial mission to save the world one kilowatt-hour at a time. We want to add an Events Marketing Operations Specialist to our team. This rock star will be responsible for implementing and evaluating our integrated marketing campaigns by developing content, designing and building email programs to drive event attendance, and coordinating our presence at industry events. You’ll become best friends with Marketo—our marketing automation platform—as you create, test, support, and execute digital marketing campaigns.

Our ideal marketer is creative, analytical, and obsessed with the details. We’d love to hire someone who understands digital marketing principles and tactics, especially related to list segmentation and targeting, email marketing, landing-page optimization, and analytics. Plus, we hope you’re flexible, energetic, and brimming with personality.


  • Launch campaigns to support live, online, and industry events and cultivate them from start to finish
  • Make heavy use of Marketo for campaigns and data analysis
  • Develop content to support campaigns
  • Find creative ways to get the data you need to make effective marketing decisions
  • Practice good list hygiene and standardization to improve audience-targeting capabilities
  • Be an essential part of the event execution for on-site and online events
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or something similar
  • Have at least four years of marketing experience, preferred
  • Have experience with email marketing preferred
  • Know your way around a marketing automation tool, preferably Marketo
  • Have experience with an enterprise customer relationship management system (we use Salesforce)
  • Are a superstar copywriter
  • Are a highly organized, dependable go-getter who can pivot on a dime, work quickly, and meet multiple deadlines
  • Can work independently or collaboratively as the situation dictates
  • Love being part of a creative team of smart people (that’s us!)
