Domain Active/ update in Salesforce

Hi There,

I am going to activate Domain in salesforce by which I shall get specific login URL for my salesforce org. Does the change in Domain or activation of domain affect Salesforce-Marketo sync? Do I have to consider something before I activate/update domain in salesforce?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Re: Domain Active/ update in Salesforce

You will only need to change the password for the SFDC sync user on the SFDC side. This will also create a new security token. Once you have those, you will then enter that new login information into Marketo, Admin > SFDC > Credentials.

There was a similar discussion about this: https://nation.marketo.com/message/139598-re-changing-to-salesforce-my-domain#comment-139598 where Support confirmed that changing the password was the only step necessary.

Emilia,

After you change, you will need to change the password of the SFDC sync user. Along with the new token, just enter the new credentials into the SFDC area of Marketo Admin and the sync will restart.

Re: Domain Active/ update in Salesforce

Thanks for the response Devraj.

Could you please explain why do I need to change password and security token? Activating or updating Domain name does not change the password or any user information.

In case update the password and security token, I shall have to update the same in Marketo. Can you please confirm that the modification of credentials will not affect sync process.

And also do I need to update or reset credentials of all Marketo Users?
