Hello,
Just wondered if you are identifying your leads as "has personal email addr" or "has corporate email addr"
I determine responses based on whether a corporate or personal email address has been used.
I'm thinking of making a setting as the lead comes in to simplify some programs and remove some duplication.
Also my legal advice is currently that the rules of emailing a personal address are different to that of a corporate address. Therefore this would make the selections for emails simpler.
Just wondering if others are going down that road.
thanks
Mark
Mark,
Since we are B2B, we very rarely have leads with personal email addresses. When they do come in, you can create a custom boolean field (ex. "free email address") that populates if it is a free email address.
Smart list:
(lead is created
or
data value changes: email address)
and
email address contains: @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com, etc.
Flow:
change data value: free email address: true
Then you can filter these leads appropriately. Also create an offboarding campaign to make "free email address: false" when the new email address does not contain @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com, etc.
You can also restrict free email addresses from filling out your forms: http://developers.marketo.com/blog/restrict-free-email-domains-on-form-fill-out/
