Can an A/B test prevent open rates displaying

Hey Marketeers,

I have just run a new program which has a whole email A/B test and are happy to see a delivery rate of 96.4%. Worryingly though, an email performance report on this send is not displaying any opens. I assume (fingers crossed) that this is has something to do with the test and at least one person has taken the time to open an email.

Has this happened to anyone else? How can I report on opens?

Thanks team,

Mitchell

Mitchell,

Double-check that the email selected in Setup for the email performance report is showing that specific email. Also how large was the test size? If it was rather low, I wouldn't be surprised to see a low open rate. Remember that in order for an "open" to tally on the report, the HTML content must be downloaded.

Re: Can an A/B test prevent open rates displaying

Hey Devraj,

The email is selected in the setup so that isn't it. I am also getting the hard and soft bounce numbers too, so this gets stranger still.

The send was 1200 people, while it is a smaller send, I would expect at least a 10% to have opened it in the 2 and 1/2 hours since it ran. Split 50/50 on the test surely there would be some movement either way.

Any other thoughts?
