How do I add events to the calendar without starting an activity/campaign?

Hi, I want to work off the calendar itself to manage my schedule of emails without syncing to the actual email activity. Is this possible or will it be?

My team is interested in the same thing.  For insitance we'd like to note on the marketing calendar when a blog is being posted without having to create a new program.  We'd also like to see all of the calendar items on the common calendar without having to open a specific program to see calendar items related to that program.  It would be handy to see everything (for all programs) in one overlay/view.

Thanks for your reply, but like Mickey P, I'm also interested in working on the calendar directly without going into a program. I agree that it would be helpful to see everything in one view, and also be able to edit events, regardless of which user created them.
