Agree with Dan.  The whole point of having unique program statuses for each channel is because in most cases they are different.

For some channels like Paid Social, SEM, PPC, Online Advertisement, Website - these program statuses are sometimes Member, Converted (success)

or Member

Visited Webpage

Converted (Success)

But for event programs, trade shows, conferences, webinars, road shows, etc. you would lose very important data,

Registered

No Show

Attended

etc

Why do you want to make the statuses in all your channels generic?

I don't really want to make the statuses generic.  I was just told by a Marketo Consultant that was a best practice......

I would question that advise.  This is certainly not a best practice.
