Lead Score Decay Batch Issue

Hi All,

I set up a batch campaign to run every night at 2 a.m. EST. It decays prospect scores by 5 points if they haven't had any activity on our site in the last 60 days.

But, the issue is...

We have an alert set up to email our reps for prospects who's lead score changes to at least 50. If the score decreases by 5 from inactivity, but stays over 50, the rep is getting alerted. Right now the logic is "lead score is at least 50". Should it be changed to lead score "IS" 50 to avoid this?

Thank you!

Hi Lauren,

What I'd do is make sure you have a constraint in there that the previous value is less than 50. That way you'll only alert reps when the Leads pass the 50 threshold, rather than your current set-up.

Re: Lead Score Decay Batch Issue

Hi Lauren,

Are you using "Lead Status" as a filter? My sales team gets alerts not when a score is changed but when a lead status is changed. Which is based on a lead score moving up; whenever a lead reaches 50, the lead status changes to Marketing Qualitifed and that's when they get emailed.

So you could set up a campaign that monitors the lead score, and changes the lead status. If the lead status doesn't change, then sales won't get emailed. Otherwise, I think to have  "lead scores = 50" makes sense.
